Situated in the vibrant Shangzhuang area of Beijing, Loong Palace 340 stands as a testament to China's emerging technological and cultural strengths. Surrounded by renowned universities and high-tech industrial bases, this luxurious property showcases the dynamism and vitality of the region. The area's abundant water resources, historically known for exclusive rice production for the royal family, further enhance the project's geopolitical and resource advantages, setting it apart from other newly constructed properties.
With meticulous attention to detail, Loong Palace 340 embodies the aesthetics of the Song Dynasty. The design seamlessly blends traditional elements, such as a silk canvas substrate, with modern detailing, infusing the space with the spirit of the new era while preserving the classical charm. The implicit beauty of Song poems is transformed into an enchanting atmosphere, creating a new form of Chinese style that resonates with contemporary sensibilities.
Spanning an impressive total area of 1080 square meters, Loong Palace 340 boasts a range of meticulously designed spaces. From the spacious living room and dining area to the serene tearoom and luxurious master bedroom, each space exudes elegance and sophistication. The media lounge offers a perfect retreat for relaxation and entertainment, completing the harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal.
Throughout the design process, David Chang and his team delved deep into the history of the Song Dynasty. Immersed in documentaries and extensive research, they gained a profound understanding of the material and spiritual civilization that reached unprecedented heights during this period. Collaborating with art teams and artists specializing in Song furniture, carpets, and works of art, the design team refined their vision, ensuring every detail reflected the essence of the Song Dynasty.
One of the design's notable achievements lies in its circulation route. The subtle interactions within the space create a captivating dialogue between different areas. For instance, the folding of the accordion door reveals an underground IMAX theater on the right side, while the tearoom in the study awaits behind the left side. These design choices foster a sense of intrigue and connection, enhancing the overall experience for residents and visitors alike.
Loong Palace 340 is a testament to elegance and nobility, rather than elaborate flamboyance. The design embraces simplicity, allowing the cultural depth of the Song Dynasty to flourish. The peaceful color tones of robin's egg blue and creamy ivory, combined with natural materials, create an aristocratic ambience throughout the villa. Timeless details discreetly reveal the influence of the Song Dynasty, infusing each composition with a sense of timeless beauty.
Recognized for its exceptional design, Loong Palace 340 was awarded the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2018. This accolade celebrates the project's well-designed, practical, and innovative approach, meeting professional and industrial requirements. The villa's fulfillment and positive impact contribute to a better world, making it a true gem in the realm of interior space, retail, and exhibition design.
Loong Palace 340 is a remarkable fusion of history, art, and contemporary design. With its captivating tribute to the Song Dynasty, this project stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of classical Chinese civilization.
